All St. Mary's Core SMC 13XX "Reflection" courses must be completed before registering for SMC 23XX "Practice" courses. "Reflection" courses can be taken in any order followed by "Practice" courses in any order.

Grade of “C” or better is required.  International students may be required to take EN 1313 to fulfill this requirement.

Students who earn less than a grade of "C" will be required to retake the course until a grade of "C" or better is earned. When the course involved is a prerequisite course, a grade of "C" or better must be earned before the follow-up course may be taken.

Basic proficiency must be attained by passing  each of the four levels with at least a "B".
